Hello I'm kind of new but not really to Linux. I try Linux when it was
at release 96.

My question is will the latest version(SLS release) detect the bad
spots on my 68meg seagate IDE drive. I tried did a mkfs -c /dev/hdb5.
it reported bad spots and continued on.
But when I went to doinstall /dev/hdb5 it did not install the min base
system. It crashed. I did notice a message that install said
NO BMAP support. Does this mean bad block map maybee????

Anyway I would really love to be able to use Linux again.

By the way hdb5 is my second drive partioned (50 meg linux and 20 DOS).

Any help or info would be appreciated.....
