Hello -
I'm the author of RaWrite, a DOS-based utility for writing disk files
to floppy diskettes using the equivalent of a raw disk write.

The latest version of RaWrite is available via anonymous FTP from:
Machine: ftp.ai.mit.edu [ 128.52.32.11 ] or [ 128.52.54.11 ]
Directory: pub/mbeck
File: rawrite3.zip
This is a DOS-style ZIP file.
After several months of beta testing and tweaking, I think the major
problems have been resolved. This should run on nearly everything
claiming to be compatible with the original IBM-PC.

RaWrite was tested primarily on ISA-based machines.. think there was
one tester on an EISA bus but not sure. I have no idea as to how it
will work under the MCA bus. RaWrite 3 uses only well-documented BIOS
and DOS calls.
I would appreciate hearing from those on whose machines RaWrite 3
won't run. Your help will assure that future versions of RaWrite
'make the grade'.

Mark
