I have the same problem. I have been using the SLS 0.96c distribution and
my system has COM1 & COM2 (both 16450) and a Computer Peripherals ViVa 1440
V32bis/V42bis fax/modem card. All worked really well. So this weekend I upgraded
to SLS 0.98p1 and now linux only sees COM1 & COM2 and there seems no way to
talk to the modem. What gives?
