Subject: 0.98p1 and 0.98p2 vs. ps
Date: Mon, 19 Oct 1992 00:15:17 GMT

After deciding to recompile my kernel for 0.98p1 to ignore the scsi
controller I don't have, I discovered that ps no longer works. ps now
just prints the headings and quits. It gets stranger, after including
the tcpip code in the kernel, ps barfs about reading kmem. Please
note that I did not have this problem with the original kernal, in fact
I recompile it with its original settings and its ok. Now with
the patches for 0.98p2, ps does not work with an "out-of-the-wrapper"
kernel. I should mention that everything else appears normal, except
for @#$%! X ( but that has slid down the priority queue for the moment)

BTW, how does one get the shared libs for X8514 and xemacs, they don't
appear to be in the SLS release, nor in any obvious place on tsx-11.
