Hi All
I'm having trouble getting Linux to recognize different character modes.
The chip is a GVGA, the card has 6400 written on it, but upon boot-up the bios
says 6300. I got the card used. I ran whatvga, but all it did was tell me the
card is a genoa card and then it ran the first and last tests skipping all the
intermediate ones that tested for resolutions higher than 680x480.
Eventually I'd like to get X running on my system. If anyone could shed
some light on these aspects of my non-Tseng :( card, I'd appreciate it. Oh yeah
the card has 512k ram.
                                        Thanks In Advance
