Subject: Help requested on booting linux on a PC with a SCSI disk.
Date: Fri, 16 Oct 1992 18:13:01 GMT

I've the same problem with the ST0X-SCSI-drivers to boot and install
from floppy.

My configuration:
486DX-33/16MB
ST296N
ST02

0.96c : no disk info ==> assuming 1GB disk & getting login prompt.
0.97 - 0.98.1 : disk info available, but detected as sd0 at scsi2
==> hanging system: scsi host 2 timed out

is there a patch available to force the ST0X-SCSI-driver to detect all drives
at scsi1?

Any help apreciated.
