yeah...it's broken.
compile them by hand...I wrote a quickie shell script that did it.

Incidentally, the Taylor uucp 'smail3' is *NOT* smail3.1 !
It's smail2.5, which is from about 1987. It's pretty simple to
get the 'real' smail3.1.28 to compile under Linux.

Note that you will have considerable pain in getting smail3.1.25
to compile. Switching to the current version was a piece of cake.
