Back in the old times, I can remember to have seen such a thing posted
for Minix. I personally never used it. It came with much documentation
and looked interesting however, I am just not the guy who lets any
program work my my fs, which exists since years now, has handmade
badblock entries and works so nice. An image backup costs too much
diskettes and is only usable if the whole fs gets corrupted. Usually I
do image backup of system binaries, header files and that, and backup
additional software source-only.
You can get that Minix defragmentation program from ftp.thp.uni-koeln.de,
path pub/minix/commands ... hmm, single-commands is next I guess, but
if you don't find it, I can look at the archive next days.
