I think this is a great idea. A few years ago, I was in the process of
designing a high res graphics card for the Apple II. I never finished.
Difficulty in getting components (TI stuff) and sanctions did not help, plus
other problems.

I would very much like to help etc with such a project. I am good with
hardware.
