same here...

when I went to 098p1 in order to run the brand new X386, I noticed
that the system didn't see my serial mouse (COM1) at all on boot
when 097 and earlier did.

in running x386mono, I can run startx with Logitech /dev/tts0 set
in xconfig and I get the initial 3 twm windows, it's just that
I have no mouse response at all, so I can't run anything productively
(damn, I like the mono look on the screen and it appears to be nice
and quick).

any help would be appreciated...

386-33, 8 MB memory, 'real Logitech' serial mouse on com1
internal modem w/16550A on com2, nothing on com3.
