Try 'mailpak' (which consists of elm, smail, and uucp). I forgot
which version though (I think mailpak 1.3).

I had problem with delivering mail, eg from a user to another user.
It's got something to do with suid/sgid of the mail transport agent.
So I downloaded 'procmail' and use it as a local MTA (lmail).
[I downloaded the source code for procmail, and compiled it without
a single change]. Works like a charm : elm + procmail + smail [+ uucp].
Now... I just have to get this uucp going....

[uucico dials the remote system, but doesn't execute the chat script as
expected. So it times out. Setting the -x to 5 or 10 didn't help....
since I couldn't see the msg. where did the debugging output go ?
Any recommendation on uugetty ? I'll try getty_ps.]
