From: davidho@dopey.rc.arizona.edu Subject: [Q]: How can I download software to my Linux system? Date: 5 Oct 1992 22:56:04 GMT
Could someone tell me the answer to this basic question?
I just install Linux to my PC using SLS 15 disks that I download from tsx-11.
I have Internet access in work place but not at home where my PC located.
I usually use procomm and modem (2400 baud) remote login to my work place.
How can I install any other unix software or update my Linux?
Is there any method my Linux system can communicate to other system use
modem? Or how can I download the Linux-0.98.tar.Z to floppy and Linux can read
it. Does rawrite work? How should I change the name?
Thanks your help.
