Subject: libc.so.2 From: billp@jupiter.cse.utoledo.edu (Bill Parquet) Date: 5 Oct 1992 14:08:09 EST
I've been using linux for about 5 months now, collecting all sorts of stuff
in that time. Last weekend I decided to clear everything off and install
new versions of all of the utilities (latest kernel, latest GCC, SLS, etc.)
when I went to compile the kernel, I noticed that "as" wanted "/lib/libc.so.2"
(I'm pretty sure that was the name of the file). Where does this library come
from? I didn't see it in any of the packages. (I went to a backup with the
staticly linked bin tools, so I'm up an running) But it would be nice to
know where I can find this library.
