Subject: 0.97pl6 + X11v2.0 problems?

I'm currently running 0.97 pl6 with the old x1.1. I've got the v2.0
stuff and when i tried to startx, it failed because can't listen
to some sockets. I know this is because I haven't got the tcpip code
in the kernel. However, the tcpip.0.8 stuff works for pl2 only, is there
anyway to bypass the socket checking? or do i need to upgrade to 0.98
in order to get x2.0 running?
