Barry,

        I had a similar problem with my Logitech Bus Mouse. The cure - for me
- was to change the "Busmouse" line in Xconfig from /dev/ttys2 to /dev/mouse and un-comment that line. I left the "Logitech" line commented out, I think.

        I presume you have the bus mouse device driver "mouse", in /dev and
are seeing the "Bus mouse found and installed" message during the boot up?
This happened auto-magically thanks to the famous "soft-landing system"
installation package - what a wonderful way to do it: Thanks Everybody!
