You are definitely using an older version of linux - try upgrading to
either 0.97.pl6 or 0.98 (which will probably need the mouse-patch that
was posted a day or two ago). The Stack overflow message is part of an
older kernel (0.96c? something like that), and was fixed in 0.97.

Note that 0.96c (which at least the current version of SLS seems to be
based on) was a pretty stable release - but it is a bit old... Keeping
up with the absolutely newest versions of linux may not be very safe,
but there are problems with keeping to old kernel versions too. After
all, I don't make new releases *just* to annoy people.
