Serious software cost money. Oracle is a real database system, and as other
real systems such as VMS:s rdb, Ingres, Sybase etc. has a large development
budget which needs to be coverred. Oh, so Dbase is not expensive? Well, try
to use it with clients from VMS,MVS and Unix, at the same time....
Oh, well, for a cheap database facility under Unix, try dbm/gdbm.
