Hi,

I know that the following question is not all new.
However, I have not seen any discussion about SCSI
Tape support on this group in recent time:

I would like to know about the possibility of using a
SCSI Tape drive for backups (Archive Viper 150).

found a patch in the patches directory of tsx-11
called "scsi.tape.patch" but it seems to be incompatible
with Linux 98pl5 which I am currently using.
When I add the (replacement) files of scsi.tape.patch
and recompile the system it stops with an error on making
the scsi objects. It says something about to many arguments
to st_init (or was it init_st?).

Please let me know how to get a working scsi tape setup on
linux 98pl5.
I also would like to know when SCSI Tape support will be
a standard linux feature (hopefully this will be soon :-)).

Thanks for your help.
