due to the kernel allowing pultiple swap partitions/files, Free has the name
of the swap files(s) hardcoded into it... the first swap file should be
/dev/swap, #2 should be /dev/swap1, etc
so in your case, a 'ln -s /dev/hda2 /dev/swap' should fix your problem
(free will then know about your swap partition and work correctly).
