Subject: 1542B Setup with SLS.98p5 - Help needed
Date: Sun, 22 Nov 1992 22:01:03 GMT

Hy,

I have problems to get Linux accept my SCSI-Disk. Partitioning with
pfdisk worked well, but mkefs -c /dev/hda2 405504 brings me:
"mkefs: bad blocks before data-area: cannot make fs"

Has anyone a tip how to get the following configuration work:
-Fujitsu M2624F-512
-Adaptec 1542B
-SLS .98p5
-Linux should be on the 2.nd Partition

Is my problem the jumper setting on the Adaptec. I use the synchronous mode
and SCSI-II (for fun) jumpered.

Thanks to everyone in advance ..... Alex Keiblinger
