I have an Infotel v.32bis/v.42bis 14.4K FAX/modem from MidWest Micro...
Not only is it the cheapest around at about $200, but it is well-behaved with
regard to interrupts too... I have it sharing an interrupt with my COM port
under Linux and both work properly! (I even discussed this with Ted, the
author of the serial driver. 8-) I'm very happy with it. It even comes with
software for DOS and MS-Windows (if you are so inclined), and 10 year warantee.

I got it as part of a group purchase, and I may get together a second one.
