Say what?
I've used the -c feature of mk{e}fs, and it DOES work. You just have to
wait several hours for it to work.. (ie, when I scanned my 150 meg ESDI
drive (which has the bad block list only in electronic form on the drive)
it took about 4-5 hours to scan the drive.
Summary: You can use the -c feature, it just takes lots of time.
