Me too me too!
I was running 0.98p1 and no problem with reboot or shutdown. After
I installed 0.98p3 I got this broken pipe message, even when I booted
with the 0.98p1 Image again. I also tried the ps -U suggestion but
no luck. I'm trying 0.98p4 now.
