I have the problem of shutdown spewing out lots of junk,
along with the shutdown message..
it goes somthing like this

``~~~~!!hhasd `` ``` ... Resaon I shutk it down ...

Broken pipe sometimes is replaced with the message,
You can now tturn off the power.
