Subject: My fs is trashed again. Please be patient with me
Date: Sat, 7 Nov 1992 20:43:59 GMT

I have sent bug report, which trashed my source code fs, to Linus.
Since my fs is trashed again, I may not be able to keep all
my promises. If you have sent something for me to test on
my Linux, I may not be able to test them until 0.99 is out.
Please re-send them to me if necessary when 0.99 is released.

I have promised to make root disk with new kernel. I will not
do that until 0.99. I have said to release gcc/libc on minix
fs disks. I may just release tar.Z version first. Since
we don't need libsoft.a anymore, the installation should be
simpler. You just untar them. You may have to fix file
permissions/owenership yourself though.

The following things I will do regardless of my fs:

1. libc 4.2.
2. gcc 2.3.2/2.4, whichever comes first.

I will make both 386/486 versions. But for testing, I only make
386 version.

I will still take bug reports regard to the Linux C library. I
just may not test them myself.

Thanks for your understanding.

H.J.
