I don't know how feasable this is but how about extracting the code from phil
karns KA9Q package to use in linux's TCP/IP.
I can't remember off hand if phils code is copyrighted / lefted. But if it were
possible then it would leaves us with some very good code which we wouldn't
have to write.
The parts we may be able to steal would be 3com card drivers, PPP, slip etc.
Unfortunately i have'nt got the hardware to rebuild the kernel (no disk space
free) and I ain't got the time. However I just thought this might help
somebody.
If the whole of what I have said is rubbish (ie copyright problems then kindly

BTW Linux is an amazing piece of code. Linus could teach those chapies at
Microsoft a thing or two about system stability after program crashes. I have
had programs just die and all I had to do was swith to another VC and kill the
offenidng process. Try that under windows!
