Doc looks like it might fit the bill. It's a WYSIWYG system whose
text representation looks a lot like LaTeX. Unfortunately, it is
based on the Interviews libraries. Interviews is in C++, and g++
isn't quite up to compiling it yet. Our Gnu expert keeps telling me
to wait for the next release of g++. Reports from people who've tried
to port it to Linux are consistent with this advice.
