Subject: linux-0.98.3 termcap problem
Date: 1 Nov 1992 00:48:28 GMT

Old binaries (like nethack and xcomm) worked
with 0.98.1 with :tc capability replaced by referred
termcap entry. With exact same system except bootlin
0.98.3 Image vise 0.98.1 Image nethack gives:
D<British pound sign>Terminal must backspace.

xcomm (old binary --- as src does not yield working xcomm)
does not display reverse video et al.

QUESTION: Besides fs and math emulation, was termcap
supposed to affected by 0.98.2 or 0.98.3
I assume null-pointer would generate an error.

BTW: I miss color in nethack, used Ncurses under minix.
Is anybody working actively on System V curses for Linux?

John
