First off, let me say that I've dabbled in Linux since 0.11, and I must
say, it's sure come a long way. Kudos to everyone involved!

Now that I rearranged my hard drive, I decided to jump in... I installed
the 0.96 kernel and the 0.95a root image. Everything works great. This
evening, I'm going to try to bring up X.

HOWEVER, I'm running OS/2 2.0 on the same system. I've got my partitions
set up such that I can boot the Linux partition from the OS/2 Boot Manager
menu.

I've tried to install shoelace, but it doesn't know about Linux SCSI
device numbers.

It load up fine, but complains that it can't find the device numbers for
/dev/fd0. Then, it says it can't find the device numbers for the boot
device. It goes on to load the kernel, which actually starts to boot,
but it gets a kernel panic: can't mount root.

I know that this may have been discussed recently, but I've jsut recently
gotten back with things.

Is anyone working on, or has anyone done SCSI for bootlace? Seems an
easy hack, just add a little code here and there to recognize SCSI
partitions.

While I'm at it, can someone direct me on how to join the X channel of the
mailing list? I quite the mailing list before it went multi-channel, and
don't know how to operate these things.

Thanks,
