Subject: Problem with Kermit and 0.96

I'm having a strange problem with Linux 0.96. When I run Kermit
(this is the kermit which came with MCC 0.95c+ interim release)
kermit will only echo the first character I type. I'm talking about
on the local machine, kermit prompt.

C-kermit> x

No second or following chars are echoed till I hit return, then at that
time, they are all echoed, and the command executed.

Additionally, downloads don't work anymore. If it were only the
former, I wouldn't bother the net with it, but not being able to
downloads, means I can't get all that great Linux software!!!

The problem goes away if I boot with my old 0.95c+ boot floppy. This
solution will get me through the evening, but I am concerned that when
a 0.96 rootimage finally comes along, I may loose all ability to
download (if I use it...),

I have looked for the kermit sources to see if I could rebuild it and have
the problem majically go away, but can't locate the sources.

Comments/fixes desired. Maybe for one, does anybody else see this?
