Hi,
I found the xuser0a* files on banjo that give the executables,
libraries, etc needed to run X11 under Linux using a tseng card.
I also noticed the X386-Trident.tar file on banjo. Being a trident
owner, I'd love to get X11 running on my Linux system, but there
is no hope of my ever getting all the source for X11, making the
changes listed in the above file, and compiling my own version.
I have a couple of questions: Is it only the server executable that
would be different (than that for the tseng card), or would other
executables (and anything else) be affected also? If it is only the
executable server (or it and just a couple of other files), is there
any chance someone could provide the needed files so that
people like me who can't hope of compiling such a beast for
ourselves could still get X up and running with minimal effort? The
idea would be that I could get the tseng based stuff, make a couple
of replacements (like a trident server executable) and have a
usable X11. Or am I just dreaming?
It would be a tremendous service to trident owners everywhere if they
could simply grab the tseng based tar file and a trident.dif.tar
file and
