Just to add a counter data point, I keep all my Linux and 386BSD floppy
images on my Unix box and have the directory mounted on my DOS box via
PC/TCP and 10Net. I routinely use rawrite to copy the image from my
network drive to floppies. I occasionally see "sector not found" errors,
but only with 3.5" floppies. A fresh format just before the rawrite has
always worked in these cases. Your milage may vary.
