Calc, the symbolic math package for GNU Emacs, works much better in Linux
than with dos. embedded mode works so one can easily paste in TeX math
(calc can also convert between TeX, algebraic, C, Maple, etc formats). and
g f calls gnuplot and displays a plot (with X if installed, ascii otherwise).
