Hello,

I've some trouble using linux version 0.96.

After removing the scsi-stuff from the sources and defining German
keyboard, I've managed to compile a boot image. For compiling I
used gcc 1.40.

When booting this image, I get the following error message:

Kernel panic: Trying to free up swapper space
In swapper task - not syncing

What does this mean and how to avoid it?

Thanks for your help
Arno
