When Selection-1.0 came out I downloaded it and found that it didn't work.
But, using the code, I was able to find out what my Logitech (non-bus)
three button mouse was sending, and I rewrote the code so I could use it.
It worked beautifully.
Now I would gladly give up this functionality to have my Logitech mouse work
with X. I download the binaries, and EVERYTHING works, except for the MOUSE.
This problem was mentioned in a previous post, and I want to reiterate it.
I know my mouse is working fine - off ttys1 (cat tells me this and the code
mentioned above). Since the Logitech mouse is actually an option in Xconfig,
why in the world doesn't it work? I have tried to change the Xconfig file
in every way - it started with something like:
Logitech "/dev/ttys1"
Baud 1200
SampleRate 150
(this was done from memory - so the exact synatax is not important)
I tried everything, and I REALLY WANT X11 BAD, does anyone know we can get
or LOGITECH mice working? -Hillel
