A very good alternative (backwards compatible and more powerful)
for lmail is procmail (I admit, I'm biased, I wrote it :-).

Installation should be a snap, a simple make should do, then copy procmail
over lmail (or make a link to it); alternatively, read the installation
instructions that go with the program :-).
