Subject: Unarj.tar.Z from banjo (AGAIN!)
Date: Sun, 28 Jun 1992 02:34:23 GMT

About two or three weeks ago, I posted a message asking about
unarj.tar.Z on banjo.concert.net. I don't know what is wrong
with the file but it certainly seems corrupt. All of the responses
I got chided me and told me I should be using the binary transfer
mode of ftp. To which responses, I cheerfully replied that I
did.

Well, once again, on June 27 at 10:30pm EST, I obtained the unarj.tar.Z
file from banjo.concert.net. I used binary transfer mode. In fact,
I obtained two copies of it typing "bin" before each transfer. THE
FILE IS STILL CORRUPT. It is not compressed, it is not tarred, it
is not zipped. I wish someone would either fix it or get it the hell
off of the archive.

(Flame off)

But really, I don't know what the problem is. I have tried an uncompress
under linux0.96b, Ultrix, and DOS, I have tried GNU tar with the z flag
in place, I have tried a straight untar, and I have tried unzip. I'm
at a loss. I'd really like to have a copy of unarj since arj is the
compressor I use all the time under DOS. It would simplify file
transfer for me. Thanks
