How do I install X11? I know this is a FAQ but, after following the instructions
in various README files, etc, I have been unable to get it to work. *sigh*

I have a genuine Tsenglabs ET4000 VGA card, 17" Viewsonic monitor, mouse on
the first serial port and a 486/33 with 8MB RAM.

I have a feeling I'm missing a library somewhere because when I type "startx"
it prints out some numbers on the screen and then I get my prompt back and
nothing further happens. :-( If I run /usr/bin/X11/X386 manually I get a
Segmentation Fault.

Could somebody tell me _EXACTLY_ what version of Linux I need, what version
of X386 I should be using and which version of GCC.

Currently I have the MCC-Interim version of Linux. (0.95c+ ?)
GCC 2.12 and (I think) the latest version of X386 (I can't remember the number)

Is there a document describing how to install X386 similar to the excellent
installation manual for Linux?

Thanks in advance.
