KA9Q is a package written by Phil Karn for (originally) packet radio
communications. The package supports several protocols, among them is TCP/IP.
Several TCP/IP "sessions" can be opened for telnet, ftp, direct ttylink, and
several servers can run in the background (an ftp server, a ttylink server, etc)
There are also smtp and pop mail clients and servers, an nntp client for
news, and other extra goodies.
The DOS version has all of this, plus support for packet drivers, SLIP, PPP.
I am not sure what the linux version includes, but it talks SLIP.
KA9Q is a temporary solution until TCP/IP support is built into the kernel.
