So THAT'S why the information from vga.dbase isn't helping me get 800x600
mode to work. My Gateway 2000 Crystal Scan is a Mag Computronic 1448. Don't
you just hate it when they switch monitor manufacturers but use the same
external name? Yuck! Anyway, I've read the tutorial and it is difficult
to find the right settings with minimal documentation. Has ANYONE gotten
800x600 working with a Diamond Speedstar (1 MB, *NO* HiColor) Super VGA
card and Mag Computronic 1448 monitor? I tried 1024x768 but it looks too
small on a 14" monitor, and I'd like something better than 640x480.

BTW, the monitor is non-interlaced.

Thanks in advance,
jim
