From: vince@halcyon.com (Vince Skahan) Subject: fun with gcc2.11c :-( Date: 7 Jun 1992 04:16:38 GMT
I've been having a less-than-pleasant time trying to get some normally
real portable stuff (elm2.3pl11, CNEWS end-of-1991 patchlevel), to compile
under linux.
I'm running 0.95c+ (mcc-interim) with a 0.96a-pl1 Image and gcc 2.11c.
Basically, the following is happening:
- the linux 0.96a-pl2 sources won't build at all. Patchlevel-1
built just fine.
- elm2.3-pl11 won't compile at all
- Cnews goes boom as well.
Can somebody please fill me in on the magic cc flags and ld flags that should
be used with gcc and linux ?
Also, if anybody who would like to provide makefiles/config.sh, etc. for elm or
cnews via e-mail or anon-ftp, it would be greatly appreciated...
