I have a Genius mouse which can be used in Microsoft or Mousesystems mode.
Initially, neither would work. Then the "stty -istrip" issue came about, but I
founbd that my "stty" program wouldn't work (it was the MCC distribution one).
Using Krishna's program that grabs the serial port and does this, I find that my
mouse works just fine in MouseSystems mode, but - like you say - jumps all over
the place in Microsoft mode. I presume (due to the lack of complaints) that 'true'
Microsoft mice do not have this problem...
