I was sortof wondering why this was chosen, as it was giving me
annoying problems when logging into unix systems with kermit or ka9q,
in that I usually use backspace (it seems more "standard" in the unix
world) rather than rubout (a VMSism in my experience). I can
thankfully say "was giving", as I've gone through the kernel and
switched it from rubout to backspace so everything works smoothly
now. :)
