Subject: a few problems

I am really enjoying Linux; kudos to all involved. However, I have run
into a few problems.
1. trying to run the adduser binary has caused ps to fail. whenever I
execute ps, I now get a message like kmem not found. kmem exists in /dev
and psdatabase exists in /etc. Anybody have any ideas.
2. When trying to use MGR (from latest linuxmgr.tar.Z on banjo), I get a message
about no mouse and a bad directory, and am returned to the shell prompt.
I have a Trident 8900c and Champ (MS compatible) mouse on COM2, do I need
to compile from the sources?

Current system = Linux96a +MCCinterim95c++ on 486 ISA clone.
Thanks for any help.
