Well, it's done: I just became a wholly owned subsidiary of
Discover Card.

Er, I mean, I just ordered myself a Fastdata 386-40.

This thing looks wonderful (Et4000 - based graphics system, 170 - mb
Maxtor hard drive with an MTBF of never mind, only $1500), but
I wonder if anyone has successfully *or* unsuccessfully run
Linux with an AMD 386 (*not* Intel)? Let me know. I stupidly forgot
to ask whether the mouse was bus or serial, so I may be screwed,
Xwise, depending.

Also, do I need a '387 to run Linux? I'm a little vague on that.

Believe it or not there is life after college. At least if you live
