Subject: Is the Trident VGA card supported by Linux
Date: Wed, 29 Jul 1992 15:16:54 GMT

Hi All,
I read the FAQ and (as usual) I could not figure out whether my
VGA card (a Trident "TVGA" ??) is currently supported by Linux
in running X. I heard that it was not supported and wanted to check
this out. If not, would someone point out which (inexpensive/affordable)
cards are supported! Thanks a heap,

PS: Thanks for all the replies about how much frespace is needed for
Linux! I gather that about 60MB would cover just about everything
essential with room to spare. My machine has 16MB RAM so I anticipate
being able to get away with murder as far as the swapfile is concerned
