        The new bootimage won't even allow me to get far enough to run
efdisk and specify /dev/sd01. With the old bootimage I was able to
load the rootimage but efdisk would crash after I specify the above.
It would allow me to partition the disk (apparently?) but no drive
info was detected (sect,cyl,heads) so the disk was unusable anyway.
