From: tracy@bluenote.b23b.ingr.com (Robert Tracy) Subject: stat with gcc-2.2.2 Date: 28 Jul 1992 15:55:15 GMT
When I call the stat function, it fills in the stat structure but the
entries are shifted. For example, the st_mode data is contained in
the st_nlinks member, and so on. I noticed in the stat.h file that
there is some information about padding being added between some
elements of the stat structure, and I suspect that this is causing the
problem. Is the stat function in the 2.2.2 version of libc compiled
with or without the padding in the stat structure?
Please respond via email.
