Subject: Third request for doc info
Date: 28 Jul 1992 14:26:42 GMT

This is the third time I've posted this, maybe I'll get lucky. I'm
trying to get a mouse to work with X. The first time I asked where the
docs were, people said I needed P/L2 for a bus mouse, only serial mice
worked. So I got the new kernel and installed it, and it didn't work
with the bus mouse. So I went out and got a serial mouse and port (this
is an odd config, had only one serial), changed the Xconfig and
/etc/cantremember, and tried again. Still nothing, but /dev/mouse is
gone!

I don't want guesses, if there is some documentation I can read please
point me to it. If not I'll forget for now and do something useful. I
have an nice X system to use, I'm just play with linux and would rather
port my software than spend hours diddling with undocumented software
from someone else.

It never ceases to amaze me that otherwise rational people, able to
understand calculus, compound interest, and the income tax form, can
continue to believe that poker is a game of chance.
