I am having trouble uncompressing linux. I appreciate any help.
I have managed to ftp to tsx-11.mit.edu and got boot-image0.96c.Z and
root-image0.96c.Z from the pub/linux/images dir. When I try to uncompress
boot-image0.96c.Z uncompress creates a file of size ulimit(2048K) and dies.
Root-image0.96c.Z reports an error after about 5k is uncompressed. I can
uncompress files that I compress. This is being done on a 3B2 and as far
as I know the uncompress is an AT&T version. Do I need a special version
to uncompress this files? Can anyone tell me where I can get either the
source or the binary for it? I looked in the FAQ but I don't seem to be
making it far enough to be a Q in the FAQ 8-( This is also the first
time I have posted so I hope this works....
                          Thanks,
